Title: How can I place my Signature?
Post by: Idelyn_202 on January 27, 2008, 01:59:45 am
Signatures are great ways to express yourself, but there are still some guidelines to follow here in the Total Girl Message Board to make sure everyone keeps the boards looking nice and neat!

You can include images in your sigs. Just make sure they're not too tall or too wide because they'll distort the boards if they're too big. Maximum width for the images you use is 500 pixels while the maximum height is 100 pixels. Please keep the images as small as possible because large pics tend to slow down the boards and as a consequence, we will delete your signature.
Text signatures are most welcome! Just make sure you're not saying anything offensive!
To know the size of your image, right-click the image (from your browser) and click on properties. The width and height properties should tell you how big your image is.

How to place your signature:
1. Go to your profile (click on "Profile" at the top of the page).
2. Scroll down and look for this link "Forum Profile Information." Then find the Signature text area and place your signature there!
3. Click "Submit."

How to put an image on your signature:
1. Select a picture, image, or drawing you want to use as your signature, and make sure that it's within the allowed size. You may search for images on the web,  or create your own!
2. Upload your signature image to an image server and take note of the URL (for example: http://www.website.com/images/signature.jpg). One popular image server is: http://www.photobucket.com.
3. Go to your profile (click on "Profile" at the top of the page).
4. Scroll down and look for this link "Forum Profile Information." Then find the Signature text area and place your signature using this code:
Code:
[img]http://www.website.com/images/signature.jpg[/img]
5. Click "Change profile."

That's it!
