For newbies: An "avatar" is the image that appears under your username whenever you post a message. It's a unique picture or drawing that identifies you. Avatars must be appropriate for the Total Girl Message Board and its users. Please read the House Rules first. Avatars must be 75x75 pixels or less (roughly an inch square). Those exceeding these dimensions will be deleted.

How to post an avatar:
1. Select a picture, image, or drawing you want to use as your avatar, and make sure that it's within the allowed size. You may use the default ones installed in the Total Girl MB, search for images on the web,  or create your own!
2. Upload your avatar to an image server and take note of the URL (for example: http://www.website.com/images/avatar.jpg). One popular image server is: http://www.photobucket.com.
3. Go to your profile (click on "Profile" at the top of the page).
4. Scroll down and look for this link "Forum Profile Information." Paste your avatar's URL into the blank marked "I have my own pic:"
5. Click "Change profile."

You're done!!
